[April 22, 2005] – Flying by at 65 miles per hour, motorists may have never noticed it was there. But the granite and bronze monument that sits on the northbound side of Interstate 95 and honors the namesake of the John Greenleaf Whittier Bridge has been getting some special attention lately.

Museum Tour Hours
The J. G. Whittier Home museum located at 86 Friend Street, Amesbury, MA is open for tours from June 5 until Oct. 31, 2010, on Saturdays from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, with final tour beginning at 3:30 pm.Special tours can be arranged by calling the Home at 978-388-1337 or 978-465-5964.
